Askham Hall is laying on a special dining event and a night of proper indulgence this autumn with two top French wine producers, in collaboration with Grapevine wines. Featuring six different Chablis and Burgundy wines, each paired with a sumptuous seasonal menu!
Specialist wine producers will provide expert comment during the dinner, which will be served in the atmospheric 18th century Bank Barn.
The evening will be hosted by our award winning sommelier Nico Chieze, together with Grapevine wines and the Devillard and Moreau families from Burgundy. Louis Moreau is a producer from Chablis in the north of Burgundy. We’ll be serving Magnums of his Chablis and bottles of his Chablis Premier Cru and Chablis Grand Cru. The Devillard family are based in the Cote Chalonnaise in the south of Burgundy. We’ll be showing their Premier Cru Mercurey Blanc, Bourgogne Rouge and Premier Cru Mercurey Rouge. They are two very well renowned producers in France so it’s unbelievably exciting to have them at Askham!
